SSC records 110 LET passers; Ramos seizes National Place
Sorsogon State College prides itself with 91 new passers of the September 2011 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).
A total of 76 graduates of SSC Bachelor of Elementary Education successfully passed the exam while the remaining 34 are graduates of Bachelor in Secondary Education.
But more than anything, what lifts the spirit of SSC, particularly of the Education Department is the historical achievement of Ma. Gaudelyn Ramos, a graduate of Bachelor in Elementary Education batch 2010-2011. She is the first ever Education student to secure a place in the National level of the licensure exam. With a rating of 85.20%, she ranks as the 3rd from among the 10,243 passers across the country. Ramos is closely behind Maricris Tabanera of University of Southeastern Philippines-Tagum and Jermaine Alonzo of Laguna State Polytechnic University-Los Baños who received a rating of 85.80% and 85.60% and ranked 1st and 2nd respectively.
Also, having seized the 3rd spot in the national level, Ramos tops the list of BEEd passers in the Bicol region.
Ramon Lasala, a graduate of Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Mathematics batch 2010-2011 also shows exemplary performance after ranking 3rd in the Bicol region.
These achievements are indeed a moment for SSC, and for the province of Sorsogon.
